Fancourt
Western Cape
[ 3 night winter special ]
South Africa's diversity is unique. Fancourt
is situated in the heart of the Garden Route and close to the country's
largest remaining indigenous forest, the Tsitsikama.
The Garden route is one of South Africa's
most enchanting areas with sheer cliffs plunging into the Indian
Ocean, glittering white beac hes and the majestic Outeniqua Mountains.
Certain resorts of the world have a
certain quality that goes beyond a fashionable address. Fancourt
is a place of tranquility and style, allowing you to enjoy the
serenity to cherish each moment. Outside your window the birds
are singing and the wind is rustling the leaves of the trees.
Fancourt, Southern Africa's premier golfing
and leisure destination, lies at the foot of the majestic Outeniqua
mountains in the heart of the Garden Route.

Five fine restaurants offer a variety of dining
experiences and bear testimony to Fancourt's reputation as purveyors
of fine cuisine. From the intimate and elegant dining of the Montagu
Restaurant to La Cantina's authentic Italian fare, the freshly
prepared seafood dishes of Le Pecheur, the locally sourced produce
of Bramble Lodge at The Links, the Morning Glory's health meals
and light snacks, Fancourt's cuisine is a gourmet's delight.

reflexology and a range of calming facials and massages as well
as a hairdressing salon.
Golf at Fancourt captures the natural beauty
of the Garden Route - the mountains, the water, the wildlife. The
Montagu and Outeniqua parkland golf courses offer well-manicured
fairways and superb bent grass greens. A third Gary Player designed
course, The Links, was also host of The Presidents Cup 2003. A
fourth 18 hole course, the Bramble Hill Golf Curse opened at the
end of 2001. The warm up area offers putting and chipping greens,
greenside and fairway bunkers and a full length driving range.
A Golf Academy with undercover driving range, lecture rooms and
professional tuition is on offer.
Unique to South Africa, The Links is
now open for play. Designed as a links-style golf course, The
Links is the only such course in South Africa. Every hole received
detailed attention to ensure that the overall balance in terms
of length, position of hazards and shot values are in harmony.
As a result, The Links is a challenge in all weather conditions.
It will add a dramatically different dimension to the estate's
existing world class golfing facility.
